“Words are for conveying the heart.”

"...We can make devils of each other, or we can take that energy and make gods of ourselves.

And I’d rather live my life on a mission of building a heaven than working demolition in hell. Build big the beauty. Big build the love. And I swear; the hate, the fear, will one day disappear and it all starts right here...

"...And don’t just point the way. Become the path that leads them there with everything you do. Because
if you’re gonna change the world, you got to start with you."

~"Evolution" Andrea Gibson

Physics is Beautiful

thecenteredself:

There is a theory in physics that every decision we make opens a universe, parallel to our own where we made a choice that was not the one we are living with now.

That theory is a powerful tool to use against the concept of shame and regret. In this theory you have already made the right and most perfect, unavoidable choice you could have made in this reality, for if you had made any other choice, you would not be in the reality you are living today.

In other realities you have explored other consequences, as has everyone else, but the you that is here now, in this moment, has made exactly the necessary decisions to wind up where you are today. And it could not have gone any other way.

A lot of people find this disconcerting because it doesn’t play into the concept of free-will in a way that feels controlled. But sometimes, not having control is exactly what’s necessary. We all have and have had the wisdom to do exactly what is necessary for ourselves in our lives and whatever you have done, to this point is exactly what was going to happen.

I take solace in this in my daily life. That I am exactly who I need to be in this moment, and every decision I make opens a new and perfect door for me.

It can be a powerful tool against shame and the belief that you are bad. Sure there may be guilt over a past action, but you have the power and the agency to choose to change that behavior in the future. You may have committed one act in your life, but you have infinite options in front of you from this point forward that you can use as opportunities to combat shame and guilt.

Just because something bad happened to you, does not make you bad.

Just because you did something bad, does not make you bad.

No one is so simple or so limited as to be one singular thing. The universe is infinite, what has happened in your life are the only things that could have happened in this reality and your options from this point forward, are literally, endless.

This kind of philosophy has helped me reconcile many aspects of my life and assists me in my current struggles. Wanted to reblog for anyone who might find solace in this perspective.

Exactly. I love this, live by it. I didn’t know it was a Physics theory, though.
